SØ for Soltindvatnet, i Soltindakslas V-helning, opptrer i nærheten av skyvekontakten til de eldre lyse gneiser flere bånd og linser av semimassiv til massiv, finkornet magnetitt-ilmenitt-mineralisering. De er fra dm- til 1m mektighet, og opptrer i finkornet amfibolitt. Ved UTM 435050 7757830, 390m.o.h. og knapt 100m Ø for bekk, ligger et 0.5m mektig lag av finkornet massiv magnetitt-ilmenitt med litt svovelkis-disseminasjon og svovelkis mobilisert på tynne sprekker (prøve 01 og 02). Mineraliseringen er konkordant med foliasjon. Sidebergart er finkornet amfibolitt. Rett ovenfor, i stupet, forløper en relativt flattliggende, lokal skyvesone. 100m lavere og 10m Ø for bekken (UTM 434920 7757920) opptrer et ca. 1m mektig lag av fin- til middelskornet semimassiv (03) til massiv magnetitt-ilmenitt-mineralisering i amfibolitt. Like ved er det blottet massiv middelskornet gabbro. Videre 80m lavere (UTM 434900 7758180) er en 0.5-1m mektig disseminasjons- til semimassiv Fe-Ti-mineralisering i finkornet amfibolitt. Mineraliseringenes lengdeutstrekning er vanskelig å fastslå, dels pga. bratt terreng, dels pga. overdekke. Mineraliseringene ligger nær skyvekontakten mellom Ringvassøydekket og Simavikdekket, iflg. Zwaan (1989) inne i Ringvassøydekket. Vest for Skogsfjordvatnet opptrer analoge Fe-Ti-mineraliseringer i Simavikdekket. |
