The small Mosan deposit is close to the larger Andørja deposit. It contains 7.2 Mt of magnetite ore (14.5 % magnetic Fe) hosted by amphibolite. The deposit consist of two layers hosted by amphibolite, 7.5 and 20 m thick, and comprising 30.6 % Fe, 1.3 % P and 20.0 % Fe and 0.8 % P, respectively.

Abstract:
Rapporten er en søknad om bidrag på kr. 30.000,- fra Statens Tiltaks- kommisjon til separasjon og anrikningsforsøk med jernmalm fra Andørja fra interessentselskapet "Malmmineraler" Bergen. Rapporten (søknaden) har som bakgrunnsstoff omfattende sitering/sammendrag fra tidligere rapporter av J. Johansson (1916), Ths Munster (1917) og J. H. L. Vogt (1917). Disse rapportene gir alle en økonomisk- geologisk beskrivelse og vurdering av malmfeltene. Til slutt i nærværende rapport begrunnes søknaden om bidrag detaljert.
