Forekomstene i Ørsjødal ligger alle et stykke opp i lia på nodsiden av dalen. Mineraliseringen ligger i en homogen bergartssekvens med gran(odior)ittisk gneis med lysere aplittiske ganger. Konformt i gneisen finnes en rekke kvartsganger med tykkelse på 1-10 dm. Svært få av disse gangene inneholder malm, overveiende svovel- og kobberkis, mens molybdenglans gjerne sitter i gneisen utenfor kvartsgangene. Bornitt er funnet helt lokalt (Kamberga), men bare noen få mineralkorn. Ved Ørsjødal og Rolslia finnes store mengder utsprengt materiale. I tillegg til de rapporter som står i referanselista finnes flere bergarkivrapporter.

Abstract:
De fleste befarte skjerp og mineraliseringer i området viser anrikninger av edelmetaller (gull og sølv). Den polymetalliske Fines gruve inneholder 0.7 ppm Au (en enkeltprøve viser 6.9 ppm) og 35 ppm Ag ujevnt fordelt i en kobber- kismalm i tilknytning til pressede suprakrustale bergarter. Molybden er anriket i Ørsjødalsforekomstene og i Skaudalen. Skaudalen inneholder 06. ppm Au og 3.3% Cu (snitt) i tillegg til flere uvanlige mineraler (thulitt, scheelitt, gedigen kobber og sink (?). Orsjødalsforekomstene forklares ut fra en hydrotermal dannelse i forbindelse med forkastningsbevegelsene, mens en slik sammenheng for de øvrige fore- komstene er usikker (Skaudalen) eller usannsynlig (Fines). Alle mineraliseringene er knyttet til soner eller ganger med begrenset tykkelse, ukjent dybde og betydelig lengde (flere hundre meter). Informasjon fra malmberegninger i eldre rapporter og nye opplysninger om gehalter og mineralogi gir ingen holdepunkter for økning av forekomstenes potensial.
