Lokaliteten er svært beskjedent mineralisert og befinner seg i sterkt oppsprukket Russeluftarkose. Deformasjonen kan settes i forbindelse med en sørvestlig-nordøstlig orientert kaledonsk forkastning som representerer en sør-østlig rettet overskyvning. Deformasjonen har forårsaket oppsprekking, forskifring og mylonittisering av arkosen. Mineraliseringen er lokalisert til forkastningens nordvestlige side, den overskjøvne del, som ved lokaliteten utgjør en 6-7 meter høy skrent. Kun få mm-store krystaller av svovelkis, lokalisert til sprekkesoner, kan observeres i sandsteinen. Ellers kjennetegnes mineraliseringen ved malakitt, jernoksyd og kalk-utfellinger i uregelmessige sprekker i bergarten. Ingen entydige spor etter tidligere aktivitet kan med sikkerhet fastslås ved lokaliteten. |
