Skjerpet består av en 2,5-4 m bred og opptil 20 m lang dagskjæring med retning 160° og ligger i skogen ca. 50 m nedenfor hovedveien forbi Lågsand. En ca. 10 cm mektig sulfidmineralisering er prøvetatt. Den består av finkornet disseminasjon og strenger av kobberkis og pyritt i mørk kloritt-rik grønnstein. Grønnstein og grønnskifer dominerer ellers i skjerpet som dels er fylt med skrot. En svært gjengrodd tipp nedenfor skjerpet har volum på ca. 300 kbm.
