Description

Bruddene her på Sundet ligger i samme sone som de i Gammelvollia, 6 km mot SSV. Skiferen er helt lik på de to stedene, og beskrivelse for forekomst ST0047 gjelder her også. At dette bruddet er valgt som hovedforekomst av bruddene her er på grunn av størrelsen, dette er det største i her på Sundet. Aktiviteten her har vært betydelig mindre enn i Gammelvollia, men dette bruddet er drevet på en benk på 3-4 meters høyde og dekker et areal på 10-20 m2. Ingen spor etter boring og sprengning kan ses, så det antas at dette er ganske gamle brudd.

Location

I alt 8 små skiferbrudd ligger i lia VNV for for brua over Glomma ved Sundet. Retningen på sonen er omtrent rett nord syd, og avstanden mellom første og siste brudd i sonen er 500 m. 100 m vest for brua deler veien seg, man tar her veien mot syd og kjører nye 100 m. Her tar en privat vei av til venstre. Denne går rett vestover i 100 m, dreier så mot NNV, og etter 450 m tar en sti av til venstre. Denne går opp til en setervoll, og krysser skiferdraget med bruddene midtveis mellom veien og setervollen, mellom lokalitetene Sundet 4 og Sundet 5. Hovedforekomsten ligger 150 m nord for kjerreveien.

Dette er det sydligste av bruddene på Sundet. Det ligger 250 m syd for stien som er omtalt under hovedbruddet.
