Den jernmalmførende amfibolitthorisonten fra Skalvejavre (FI0275) forløper nord for Holmstraumvatnet, og fortsetter østover mot Langfjordvatnet. "Hovedskjerpet (ikke røsket): I SØ-kanten av et vann er det blottet tre horisonter av finkornig kvartsbåndet magnetitt-mineralisering med amfibol og noe epidot (prøve 01). Den SØ-ligste malmhorisont (med svovelkis-disseminasjon) er minst 4 m mektig (noe overdekket), så 7 m mektig amfibolitt, 2 m mektig jernmalm, 4 m mektig amfibolitt, og den NV-ligste jernmalm som er 1 m mektig. D.v.s. tre malmhorisonter over en mektighet på 18 m. Skjerp 1 (ikke røsket): Like SØ for lite tjern er det blottet en 5 - 6 m mektig jernmalmhorisont. Det er mulig at malmsonene i de to lokalitetene er sammenhengende. Malmsonen fortsetter videre østover, men ligger lenger nord enn plottet på geologisk kart, 1 : 50 000 Høybuktmoen.
