| Mineraliseringen har utgående 100 - 150 m øst for lite vann, sør for høyde 146, og 800 m vest for Hirsavarri. Det er ca. 2 timer å gå langs god sti fra Bjørknes, via hytte ved Haugajavri og Haugavarri. En 4 - 5 m mektig magnetitt-mineralisering i middelskornig granat-biotittgneis løper fra NØ-siden av vannet og SØ-over. Den beste blotningen ligger 100 - 150 m øst for tjernet, rett under to store flyttblokker i sadelen. Her er bare spor av granat, men mye magnetitt, stort sett jevnt fordelt i biotittgneisen, men også stedvis mer båndet i alternerende lag i få-cm-skala av mørke og lyse bånd, spesielt mot liggen. Sidebergarten er blandet hvit og grå gneis. Fra de to flyttblokkene kan mineraliseringen følges minst 150 m mot SØ, men den avtar i magnetittinnhold og blir rikere på granat. Den middelskornige mineraliseringen er stedvis tilnærmet grovkornig. Mineraliseringen kan følges som en flymagnetisk anomali minst 4 km mot NV, og ligger i tilknytning til sterkt deformert glimmergneis/øyegneis og amfibolitt. Denne mineraliseringen er atypisk sammenlignet med de hyppig opptredende finkornige kvartsbåndede jernmalmene ellers i Sør-Varanger. |
