Forekomsten har utgående ved Mattilavatns vestbredd. Malmen er av liggmalmtype, 10 - 30 % Fe magn., og ligger i hornblendegneis. Lengst i nord er det et begrenset parti med rikere malm, 26 - 32 % Fe magn. Malmen faller 25 - 45° mot nordøst, mens Mattilamalmen lenger nordvest faller 25 - 35° mot sørvest. Det er ikke påvist sammenheng mellom malmen i sørøst og malmen i nordvest, men begge malmkonsentrasjonene ligger innenfor samme område med hornblendegneis. Malmareal: 16 000 m2. Malmen er vurdert å være for fattig og ligge for langt fra eksisterende anlegg til å være driftsaktuell.
