| Bergartene i Hompen gneiskompleks består i hovedsak av båndede granittiske gneiser med hyppige amfibolittbånd i dm- til m-skala. Amfibolittene er mørke grønne og ofte svakt magnetiske. Lokalt finnes svake kvartsbåndede jernmalmer. I enkelte lokaliteter er det funnet jernmalmer av bedre kvalitet. |
