Forekomsten ligger 1 km nord for Kvesjøen og 1.5 km fra riksgrensa i et område med omfattende overdekning. Gode blotninger finnes kun langs elva. Koordinatene til hovedforekomsten angir den rikeste mineraliseringen ved elva, hvor to korte hull (20-30 cm) er boret under tidligere prøvetaking. I tillegg har Grong Gruber A/S røsket i området, og påvist opptil 50 % sulfid i en røsk vest for elva. Denne er det nå ikke mulig å finne igjen. Mineraliseringen består av svak til moderat sulfiddisseminasjon i granat-amfibolfels, finkornet felsisk grunnmasse med grovkornete amfibolnek, med opptil 0.46 % Cu. Disseminert magnetkis i grovkornet amfibolitt, 0.05 % Ni og kvartskeratofyr finnes også.
