De østligste 600m strøklengde ligger like nord for truckveien til Ørtfjell malmfelt, og like sør for Fjellbakken-Kvannevannet. Mineraliseringen er totalt 2,75km lang i strøkretningen øst-vest. De vestligste 750m er imidlertid bare 2 lag som er ca. 2-4m brede, mens de østlige 2km er 10-40m tykke. Mineraliseringen ble diamantboret med 9 hull i 5 profiler (1304m) i 1976. Boringene dekker de øslige 1,2 km strøklengde, og malmberegningen gir følgende utfall: Forholdet Malm Gråberg gråberg/malm i dagbrudd --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ned til nivå 300 22 mill.t. 17 mill.t. Ca. 0,8 Ned til nivå 250 40 mill.t. 47 mill.t. Ca. 1,2 Interpolering mellom de 2 alternativene gir: Oppboret malm ca. 30 mill. t. med forhold gråberg/malm = 1. Magnetiske målinger indikerer at hovedmalmen synes å fortsette i ca. samme omfang 0,8 km videre vestover. Dette gir: Mulig malm ca. 15 mill. t. med forhold gråberg/malm = 1. Gehaltene er lave, i gjennomsnitt bare 13,3 % Fe-magn. Forholdet mellom relative tonnasjer og gehalter: Relativ Relativ Gjennomsnittsgehalter Fe-magn. vol. % Sp.v. vekt Fe-magn. Dette gjør at utgående i dagen stort sett synes i opptil 50-70 m her. Området er middels til sterkt overdekket. Det som på kartet er tegnet som mineralisering er således delvis en tolkning av bakkemagnetiske profiler. |
