De to nordligste drag ligger 0,6-1,6 km vest for den rike Nedre Grønnfjell 10m kvarts-magnetittmalmen. Kvannli nordre mineralisering regnes fra Grønnfjelldalsveien i øst og 1 km VNV-over. Dessuten er det sørligste, lengste draget over 2,5 km langt fra Kvernbekken i VNV til SØ for Kvannli. Et bakkemagnetometrisk N-S-profil 250m øst for Kvannli-huset viser 4 magnetitt-mineraliserte horisonter i den 340-370m brede og 170-300m tykke karbonatglimmerskiferen der de to nordligste og den sørligste horisont er mest interessante. Karbonatglimmerskiferens tykkelse avtar mot VNV. 3 lokaliteter i det nordre og 4 i det søndre er registrert som skjerp. Ved sterkt tordenvær har lynet ofte slått ned ved Kvannlihusene. Hovedmalmdraget ved husene skal være årsaken til dette.
