| Description |
| Bergarten er grå, middels til finornet kvartsskifer. Den ble brudt for ca. 100 år siden på grunn av at den noen steder spaltet så tynt (1-2 cm) at den kunne brukes til takskifer. Men like mye spalter i tykkelser som egner seg til helleskifer (2-5 cm) og murestein (>5 cm). Bruddet er ikke så stort, og mye utbrutt materiale (for tykt til takskifer) ligger igjen, så særlig mye takskifer er ikke produsert her. |

| Bruddet ligger 300 m NV for enden av veien i Simavåg, midtveis mellom Simavåg og Skjærneset. Det ligger i lia 50 m fra sjøen. |
