Mineraliseringene ligger ca. 7 km SØ for Skorovas og ca. 3 km NØ for Øvre Nesåvatn i et område med en rekke tjern. Et av disse er smalt og langstrakt og er kalt Langtarmen. Et område med flere, tilnærmet parallelle rustsoner ligger ca. 200 m NV for dette vatnet. Rustsonene/mineraliseringene har en strøklengde på minst 1 km. Innen denne finnes horisonter med disseminerte sulfider, hovedsakelig pyritt. Stedvis finnes opptil 2 m mektige horisonter med "tråder"/årenettverk av sulfider. Rustsonene følger dels markerte kløfter i terrenget og er tilnærmet parallelle med grensen til Liminggruppens sedimenter i sørøst. Mineraliseringen ligger tildels i mørk grønnstein, finkornete tuffer og sure ekstrusiver. Bergartene er gjerne kraftig forskifret. En tett og svært finkornet disseminasjon av sulfider finnes i en mer silifisert, muligens agglomeratisk bergart. Dette er vanligvis pyritt, men også magnetkis kan være tilstede. Trondhjemittganger, som det er flere av, fører også pyritt, men i hovedsak kutter disse rustsonene. Analyser av prøver innsamlet av Grong Gruber fra den nordre delen av området gir opptil 0,14 % Cu og 0,01 % Zn. |
