| Description |
| Bergarten er en ganske lys, båndet granittisk gneis som har vært brutt for produksjon av gatesten til Bergen. Produksjonen har vært ganske omfattende, men tok slutt for ca. 100 år siden. Stein herfra er også brukt i fasaden på Vestlandske Kunstindustrimuseum i Bergen. |

| Tilhoggingen har foregått i strandkanten i bukta Eiæ, og råmaterialet er brutt langs etter lia ovenfor i en lengde av 2-300 m. |
