Forekomstene i Kalvåsdalen utgjør SV-lige delen av et sinkholdig kisdrag som strekker seg helt til Elvesletten. Mineraliseringen befinner seg i et dolomittmarmordrag som i et nivå under hovedlinsa i Sinklia. Hovedforekomsten er registrert på en stoll. Stollen er 2 m bred og 1.5 m høy og antas å være 20 - 30 m lang. Den er forholdsvis tørr. I tilknytning til stollen finnes 7 skjerp/grøftinger, hvorav tre er registrert her. Mineraliseringen finnes i overgangen mellom dolomittmarmor og glimmerskifer. I glimmerskiferen finnes svovelkiskuber opp til 1 cm store. Ingen sinkblende sees. I dolomitten har vi svovelkismineralisering i klaser og årer (1 mm kornstørrelse), og mindre sinkblende mineralisering i årer. Utenfor dette området har vi et skjerp som ligger i samme drag men 850 m SV for hovedskjerpet. Det ligger ovenfor Ellenmyra. Mineraliseringen er fattig og ligger i en overgangssone mellom dolomittmarmor og glimmerskifer. Det eneste synlige malmmineralet i den rustne omvandla bergarten er finkorna svovelkis.
