Skårnesdalen malmdrag består av tre hovedskjerp som ligger fra Skårnesdalen og oppover mot Håfjellets NØ-skråning. Hele veien mellom skjerpene ligger små røskinger. Hovedskjerpet består av 4 stoller, ei grøft som binder sammen stollene og flere tipper. Stoll 1: Inngangen er stengt av blokker. Stoll 2: Åpen, 1m bred og 1.5m høy. Stoll 3: Åpen, vannfylt og kort, man kan se hele stollens lengde. Stoll 4: Inngangen er rast sammen. Stoll 5: Åpen, 1m bred og 1,5m høy. Stoll 6: Stollen går på synk. Stoll 5 og 6 ligger i skjerp nr.1 (se skisse i Torgersen - NGU nr. 142). Mineraliseringen er i granat-kvartsglimmerskifer. Skiferen kan inneholde klyser og lag (mindre) av ren kvarts. Skiferen er veldig granatrik, med granater opptil 1.5cm i diameter. Granat opptrer også i større klyser. Det øverste skjerp, nær Håfjellstuva, er meget lite. Mineralisering og bergart er mer foldet/metamorfosert i øvre deler av fjellet enn i nedre deler. Prøver: Øverste skjerp - 1 prøve (analyse + ref) Midtre skjerp - stoll 6 - 2 prøver (analyse + ref) - stoll 5 - 2 prøver (analyse + ref) Hovedskjerp - stoll 3 - 1 prøve (analyse + ref)
