For opplysninger om skjerpet vises til NGU-142, Torgersen, s. 25 over skisse av fire skjæringer. Disse skjæringene ble nå besøkt og stemmer overens med hans skisse, se også beskrivelse av skjæringene. Skjæring 1 lengst mot havet inneholt ingen malm. Skjæringene ligger SV for et granfelt som strekker seg i overkant av vollene ved gårdene. Mineralisering i granat-kvartsglimmerskifer. Granatene er ikke så store som øverst i Skårnesdalen. Prøver: Skjæring 2: 1 prøve (analysepr. + ref) Skjæring 3: 1 prøve (analysepr. + ref) Skjæring 4: 1 prøve (analysepr. + ref)
