`Rusted parts¿ occur on several locations in road cuts west of Straumfjord. These comprise pyroxenite veins containing disseminated to semi-massive pyrrhotite, pentlandite, pyrite and chalcopyrite, and more rarely also magnetite. The veins and lenses cut through coarse grained anorthosite and have sharp contacts. Away from the road cuts it is difficult to assess the mineralization due to severe weathering (rusty). The most western occurrence is at Stretarneset (UTM coordinates: 499940 7618170). There, a 5-6m thick NW-SE running lenticular ore body can be followed for at least 100m SE of the road. Thin mineralized veins emanate from this body, and more similar ore bodies and/or pyroxenite occur in its direct vicinity. A number of similar bodies with somewhat variable ore compositions have been found throughout the entire area.
