Beliggenhet. ------------ Nedre del av ei kløft i Borvasselva, ca. 1 km øst for Gåsvann. Forekomsten ble mutet i 1915 av I. Lindmo. Geologi. --------- Feltet ligger i den såkalte Gåsvatn-antiklinalen. Forekomsten opptrer i Røyrvikgruppens grønnsteiner, i samme nivå som Joma-forekomsten og ikke langt fra den overskjøvne Liming-gruppen. Grønnsteinen veksler med Røyrvikgruppens kvartsitter og fyllitter. Disse kan dels være sterkt grafitt-førende, dels være helt uten grafitt. Sammen med grafitt opptrer ofte også små linser av magnetkis. Den massive malmen består av magnetkis og svovelkis, ofte rikelig med kobberkis og lokalt sinkblende og blyglans. Medianverdi for analysene: 0,6 % Cu, 3,4 % Zn, =,1 % Pb, 14 ppm Ag. Malmsonen har en mektighet på 0,2-1 m. I 1983 traff man ved boring en malmkropp på 4-5 m mektighet med 1,12 % Cu, 3,32 %Zn og 56,7 ppm Ag. Dessverre viste dette seg bare å være en "klump" uten interessant utbredelse.

Abstract:
Rapporten meddeler resultater fra geofysiske målinger på bakken og i borhull ved Borvasselv skjerp sommeren 1983. Videre meddeles resultatene fra laboratoriemålinger av ledningsevne, egenvekt, susceptibilitetm samt resultater fra AMT- og gravimetriske modellberegninger. Hensikten med undersøkelsene var å prøve å kartlegge en kissones forløp i felten. Undersøkelsene har mislyktes i sitt egentlige formål, men det har fremkommet detlajer som fremdeles gjør feltet økonomisk interessant. Det anbefales derfor ytterligere diamantboringer og geofysiske/geologiske undersøkelser.

Abstract:
Ore occurences of the Grong area: In the period 1910-1918 a great number of ore occurences were discovered in the Grong area. The late state geologist Steinar Foslie mapped the area in the years 1922-1931. Foslie also mapped all claims and occurences and made special field investigations in a few cases. This book presents a survey of all occurences chiefly based on the field observations of Foslie. In addition the present author has done some field work in connection with the three large deposits, Joma, Skorovass, and Gjersvik. The map, Plate 1, shows the areal geology and the location of the occurrences, numbered from 1 to 131. the ore of the occurrences is chiefly pyrite. The larger occurrences also contain some chalcopyrite and sphalerite etc. and the smaller occurrences contain ither pure pyrite with some magnetite. The Joma deposit (No. 1), contains about 15.5 mill. tons of ore. The ore zone forms an arc and is situated within a thick series of greenstones (Fig. 1). The Skorovass mine (No. 2), contains about 7,5 mill. tons of ore. The deposit is situated in a greenstone complex (Fig. 7), and is immediately surrounded by asid tuffs of quartz keratophyric composition (Table 1).
