Malm-tykkelsen er også ujevn 2-4 m,opptil 6 m nede ved Langvatn, bilveiskjæring. I malmhengen finner man stedvis granatfels. Tonnasjen er: Tykkelse Lengde Dyp Tonn (sp.v. 3.5) Langvatn øvre malmlag 3.3 m 1 600 m 40 m 0.74 mill.tonn Langvatn nedre malmlag 2-4 m(3m) 2 500 m 40 m 1.05 mill.tonn Langvatn-malmen er vanligvis kornet hematitt. Malmen har sammensetning (vekt %): 55.7 % hematitt (kornet) 3.3 % magnetitt 24.0 % kvarts 1.0 % oligoklas 1.0 % biotitt 1.0 % muskovitt 1.5 % kloritt 3.0 % hornblende 4.0 % epidot 0.1 % granat 4.0 % kalkspat/dolo. 1.35 % apatitt 0.009 % svovelkis Av erts er(3.3 x 100):(55.7 + 3.3)= 5.6 % magnetitt og 55.7 x 100 :(55.7 + 3.3)= 94.4 % hematitt og forholdet (hematitt) : (magnetitt) = (94.4) : (5.6) = 16.86 Malmen er overveiende en kornet hematitt (0.1-1.5mm hematittkorn) 10 prøver er analysert ved Norsk Jernverk 1980 og viser følgende: Fe tot.
