Forekosmten befinner seg i stryket under demning i elva Sokna. Dette er en mineralisert sone i kvartsrik glimmerskifer. Noen meter unna ligger en relativt grovkornet gabbro som synes å ha liten utbredelse og er bare noen få meter bred. Forekomsten er plottet på kart av Ryan (1972).
