Forekomsten ligger i en liten bergnabb ved et tjern i et myrlendt område. Den er en fattig svovelkismineralisering i en kvartsrik bergart som er antatt å representere den båndete kvartsitten som utgjør en del av Røyrvikgruppen. Kvartsitten er lokalt sterkt gjennomsatt av pyritt- og kloritt-stikk. Mineraliseringen har liten utstrekning, 1m2.
