Skjerpet består av en 8x4 m skjæring med stoll i østenden. Gjenfylt, men vannfylt synk i skjæringen. I følge plakat ved gruva ble det produsert 16 kg sølv i perioder mellom 1730 og 1784 (12 driftsår). Bergart er typisk kvartsrikt fahlbånd med svak disseminasjon av særlig pyrrhotitt. Det er en lengre røskegrøft øst for skjerpet som stort sett er gjengrodd.

Området fra Kronprinsens gruve ved Kunstbekken nordover til Jondalselven er det minst kjente partiet av Overbergets fahlbånd. Da man i 1782 og 1791 gikk i gang med store stollplaner på overberget ble de nordlige skjerpene trukket inn i driften, men både Fredrik Vte, Svarte Torstein og 1ste Lichtloch er å regne som lichtlochdrifter drevet kun av gruvetekniske årsaker. Også Kronprins Fredrik gruve, som første gang ble drevet på i 1740-årene, ble gjenopptatt i denne stolldriftens tid og ga god produksjon. Gruven ble funnet i 1707 og ble drevet med kontinuerlig drift frem til slutten av 1740-årene. Videre ble driften gjenopptatt i 1783 og drevet videre frem til 1799. I tiden 1852-1863 pågikk drift av Kristian nordre stoll fra Jondalen frem til Svarte Torstein gruve. For stolldriftens skyld ble det lagt faring ned til stollen gjennom Kronprins Fredrik gruve, men det inngikk ikke i planen å gjenoppta noen ny gruve; Kun å drive stollen frem til Gottes Hülfe.

Da man i 1782 og 1791 gikk i gang med store stollplaner på overberget ble de nordlige skjerpene trukket inn i driften, men både Fredrik Vte, Svarte Torstein og 1ste Lichtloch er å regne som lichtlochdrifter drevet kun av gruvetekniske årsaker. Også Kronprins Fredrik gruve, som førte gang ble drevet på i 1740-årene, ble gjenopptatt i denne stolldriftens tid og ga god produksjon. I 1785 nevnes Svarte Torstein gruve som et gammelt vannfylt skjerp. I 1787 begynner en drift på dette skjerpet som lichtloch for Kristians stoll og kalles ofte da for 2net lichtloch. Under driften av lichtlochet ble det også gjort undersøkende arbeider frem til år 1800, men da man ikke fant noe av verdi ble driften nedlagt. Etter forslag fra kommissionen av 1851 ble driften av Kristians stoll fra nord gjenopptatt, og det ble gjennomslag til Svarte Torstein gruve i 1862.

Fredrik den Vtes gruve ble benyttet som lichtloch for Kristian nordre stoll fram til 1799 og etter det som lichtloch for Kronprins Fredriks stoll. Denne stollen ble nedlagt i 1805.

Driften på Kronprinsens gruve ble startet i 1707 og ble drevet frem til 1800. Gangene danner et tydelig nordfallende gangdrag etter typen: ubetydelige ganger mot sør med hovedgruve som taper seg mot dypet, og rike nordganger som er særlig ertsførende i dypet.

Gruven ble funnet i 1751. Driften var uregelmessig og strossedrift har stort sett vært utført i de øvre deler av gruven. Man vet ikke når driften skjerp på sørsiden av Gud med Kronprinsens gruve ble startet, men den var sikkert i drift i 1774. Skjerpet hadde aldri en stor produksjon og var særlig fattig i de nedre deler.

Det er to hovedgruver i sør, Vestre og Østre Morgenstjerne, og i nord finner man Gamle Morgenstjerne. Gamle Morgenstjerne var i drift i 1712 og som i de andre gruvene manglet det setteved i 1725 og driften stilnet. Fra først i 1790-årene og frem til 1802 var det drift igjen. I 1800 ble Vestre Morgenstjerne besluttet renset opp, men alt i 1801 hadde gehalten tapt seg så mye at driften ble nedlagt.

Fortuna gruve har hatt et varierende liv med produksjon, nedleggelser og nyoppstartinger. Ifølge Bugge (1930) var den i drift frem til 1631 og nedlagt i 1634, men gjenopptatt i 1638, deretter nedlagt, åpnet igjen i 1685 og nedlagt i 1689. Ny drift fra 1776 og sporadisk fram til 1790.

Haus Oldenborg gruve er egentlig navnet på den vestre gruven, mens den østre kalles Østre skjerp. Det finnes ingen beskrivelser av denne gruven fra før 1776. Driften på hovedgruven ble stanset i 1801, mens det var drift på østre skjerp frem til 1803.

Else skal ha blitt funnet i 1684 og ble da kalt Christen Olsens skjerp, etter en av finnerne. Navnet Else/Ilse/Ilsøe fikk gruven etter navnet på et senere nedtappet tjern og dette finner man først etter gjenopptagelsen av Gottes Hülfe i 1840. Else gruve har trolig blitt drevet kontinuerlig fra opptakelsen i 1684 og frem til 1793 med en nedleggelsesperiode omkring 1725 på grunn av mangel på setteved.

The name Gottes Hülfe in der Noth refers to a system of 6 mines including the mines Junger Prinzen, Herzog Friedrich, Drei Brüder, Keller, Else and Gottes Hülfe. 400 tons of silver was produced between 1624 and 1955.

The Kongsberg Silver mines were in operation from 1624 to 1957. During the 333 years of mining about 1,350 t of Ag metal was produced from about 130 larger and smaller mines. The annual production was between 2 and 10 tons. Most silver was produced from mines along the socalled Overberget fahlband zone, of which the Kongens Mine alone produced 601 t. The Kongens mine was also the largest and deepest of the silver mines, reaching a depth of more than 1000 m. The mines were worked on silver-bearing calcite veins, and the ore shoots were mainly controlled by the intersection of the veins with sulphide-bearing horizons within the Mesoproterozoic gneisses. These so-called fahlbands (Bugge 1917) are generally rusty, very schistose mica rich schists and gneisses, which are concordant with the country rocks. The rust is due to the weathering of sulphides, mainly pyrite and pyrrhotite, but also subordinate to accessory chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, arsenopyrite and cobalt-bearing minerals. The most important of these horizons are the Overberget and Underberget fahlbands, located to the west of Kongsberg and striking north-south. The great majority of the richest silver mines are related to these two zones. The Overberget fahlband is 180-900 m wide and has a length of more than 10 km along strike.

Armen gruve har kun betegnet denne ene gruven med nærliggende nordlige, sørlige, østlige og vestlige drifter. Den ble funnet i 1630 av Jakob Tauben og Andreas Zornen. Gruven legges ned samtidig med Sølvverket i 1805, men er den første gruven hvor driften gjenopptas i 1815. Samtidig ble også driften av Fredriksstoll (påbegynt i 1792) gjenopptatt og det ble gjennomslag til Armen gruve i 1822.
