Forekomsten ligger i en bekk 150 m syd for vestre del av Gollumvatn. Mineraliseringene er godt blottet ved mindre bekkestryk langs bekken som renner på tvers av bergartenes strøk. Bergartene i området tilhører Norligruppen og består i hovedsak av amfibolitt i veksling med glimmergneis (kvartskeratofyr) som antas representere henholdsvis mafiske og felsiske metavulkanitter. Nederst i den sulfidmineraliserte sona finnes magnetkis i strenger og linser i en 0.5 til 1.5 m mekrig fyllitisk grafittskifer (prøve NT0445.02). Tektonostratigrafisk over denne ligger en ca. 10 mektig kvarts-feltspat gneis med svak til moderat pyrittdisseminasjon og smale pyrittbånd (1 mm). Bergarten er pyrittrikest i de øverste 2-3 m (01). Lokalt er gneissen svært finkornet og chertaktig (03). Både over og under den sulfidmineraliserte sona følger glimmergneis og amfibolitt. Gjennomsnittsanalyser fra den sulfidmineraliserte grafittskiferen viser (Logn 1973): 200 ppm Cu, 350 ppm Zn, 80 ppm Pb.
