Skjerp ble ikke påvist under befaringen, men en 0.5-1 m mektig sone med magnetittførende epidot-rik skarnliknende bergart ble påvist nede ved sjøen nær en kai, nordøst på øya. I ligg opptrer finkornet granitt/granittisk gneis. Den kan være opprinnelig intrusiv, men kan også representere sure ekstrusiver. I heng finnes mørk grå dioritt som gjennomskjæres av granittiske ganger. Alderen på bergartene, og dermed mineraliseringene er noe usikre, men er antatt å være paleozoiske.
