Tre nærliggende, små skjerp finnes i glissen bjørkeskog ved stien fra Vessingsjødammen mot Langdalsvollen, rett øst for en bekk som kommer ned fra nordøstenden av sjøen. Det største skjerpet er 6x2 m og total er det 50 m3 med tippmateriale rundt de vannfylte skjerpene. Massiv malm er ikke blottet i skjerpet, men i sørkanten av det største skjerpet finnes tynne årer med kobberkis, magnetkis og sinkblende i finkornet, dels fint båndet kvartsrik bergart. Malmsonen er 20-40 cm mektig. Massiv sinkblenderik malm finnes i opptil 5 cm brede bånd i prøver fra tippen. Vertsbergarten er antatt å representere kvartskeratofyr eller omvandlet basalt. Bergarten gjennomsettes av kalkspatrike årer/linser. Karbonatrik amfibolittisk bergart finnes under malmsonen. Området er omkring skjerpene er godt overdekket og den stratigrafiske plasseringen av forekomsten er usikker, men tilhører Remskleppdekkekomplekset i følge Nilsen & Wolff (1989).
