En 2-3 m bred og 10 m lang dagskjæring med antatt sjakt som er vannfylt, ligger på en høyde på Gammelgruvhøgda ca. 50 m sør for et tjern som ligger 875 moh. Malmsonen er 20-40 cm mektig og består av årer og disseminasjon kobberkis og svovelkis. Vertsbergarten er middelskornet og kloritt/glimmer-rik, nærmest fyllonittisk. Små kvartslinser opptrer hyppig. Amfibolitt opptrer både over og under malmsona. I brattskrenter sør for skjerpet dominerer kvarts-glimmerskifer. Den stratigrafiske plasseringen av forekomsten er usikker, men tilhører Remskleppdekkekomplekset i følge Nilsen & Wolff (1989). Det er også usikkert om det er denne forekomsten som tidligere er kalt Øyfjellet.
