Skjerpet ligger nederst i en skogkledd skråning vest for en større myr på østsida av Undurshaugen. Enkleste adkomst er langs en traktorvei opp langs Svartdalen fra Rødde. En 3 m lang dagskjæring fører inn til en 2 m lang stoll/innhugg med retning 290°. Et mindre på innhugg finnes også 10 m sør for skjæringen. Det er 2 m langt og opptil 1,5 m høyt. Bergarten er noe rusten, men kun mindre sulfidmineraliseringer er observert. De består av disseminasjon, stikk og årenett av svovelkis og magnetkis i svært oppsprukket grønnstein. Området omkring er svært overdekket av løsmasser. Forekomsten er ubetydelig, men viser at mindre arbeider er utført mange steder i Vassfjellet hvor det er synlig rust i dagen.
