Lensmannsskjerpet er et relativt stort skjerp som ligger i en vestvendt brattskråning med tett vegetasjon. Det består av en hesteskoformet grop med åpning mot nordvest. Det er sprengt inn i en lengde og bredde på ca. 10 m, og en 8-10 m høy skjæring finnes i nordøst. De rikeste sulfidmineraliseringene; aggregater/årer av pyritt og kobberkis finnes i randsonen av en ca. 40 cm bred, middels- til grovkornet kvartsgang med orientering 260°/40° i mørk grønn, klorittisert grønnstein. I tillegg finnes også kobberkis og pyritt i tynne kvartsårer/-linser i grønnsteinen. Analyser viser at mineraliseringen er svakt anriket på kobolt.
