Forekomsten består av to nærliggende (10 m) synker 50 m fra fylkesveien i Hessdalen, i en tett bevokst bekkedal (Rognsåa). Lite fast fjell å se, malmprøver finnes vesentlig i noen små tipphauger. Hovedmalmen er angitt å være 0.5 m mektig. Retningen stemmer noenlunde med en eventuell fortsettelse av Hessdalsgruva. Dette bekreftes til en viss grad av elektromagnetiske målinger utført i 1948.
