Ulriksdal is one of the minor VMS deposits situated in the Løkken-Vassfjellet-Bymarka ophiolite. The deposit consists of two N-S trending, massive ore lenses within greenstone. It is assumed to be discovered in the early 1670ies and minor copper production was carried out in the western part of the deposit. The eastern lens was mainly mined for pyrite periodically from 1901 to 1918.

Rapporten gir en malmgeologisk beskrivelse og vurdering av Uldrikdals (=Skjøla) gruver som ligger 6 km sør for Heimdal stasjon i Sør-Trøndelag. Lokaliteten består av en mindre dagskjæring med en dels gjenmurt åpning som er mulig å passere inn til en skråsjakt i nordenden. Sulfidsonen er synlig i vestveggen i dagskjæringen og er 1-1,2 m mektig. Den er tilnærmet flattliggende med svakt fall mot vest (210°/20°), og består av finkornet svovelkis og noe sinkblende i kvartsrik matriks. Grønnstein finnes både i heng og ligg av malmsona.

Arbeidene i Gamlegruben består av en dagåpning i nord og to skråsjakter som følger malmsonen som har relativt steilt fall mot sørøst. En opptil to meter mektig malmsone står igjen som en pilar nede i sjakten. Den er fint båndet, massiv svovelkis med til dels noe sinkblende og semi-massiv malm med uregelmessige årer av svovelkis og kobberkis i kvartsrik grunnmasse.
