Skjerpet ligger i en bred, mindre markert bekkedal i ett åpnet myr og lyngrabbe terreng ca. 800 m nordvest for Blautsætra på sørsida av Resfjellet. Koordinatene er angitt til en mindre, vannfylt synk med en tipp på ca. 30 m2. Det er røsket over en lengde på ca. 30 m videre NNV. Lengst i nord dreier røskingen mer NV. Arbeidene har fulgt en 20-30 cm bred breksjesone med fragmenter av grønnstein i matriks av middelskornet kvarts. Den ligger i fin- til middelskornet grønnstein som kan representere henholdsvis lava og gangbergart. Sulfidmineraliseringen består av årer, aggregater og disseminasjon av kobberkis, pyritt og magnetkis i kvartsbreksjen.
