Den mineraliserte sonen strekker seg tvers over øya i retning øst-vest. Ujevn mineralisering som opptrer i linseform med umineraliserte soner imellom. Noe sprengningsarbeider er foretatt på tre steder. Mest arbeid sentralt på øya, og dette skjerpet er registrert som hovedforekomsten. Monsøya: 30 m lang opptil 4 m høy skjæring på tvers av strøket. 2 m bred malmsone med semi-massiv mt-malm (få dm bred) i epidotrik matriks og mt+py i epidot-granat bergart. Hornblende og biotitt rik gneis er sidebergarten. Skjæres av granittiske ganger og kvartsårer. Monsøya øst (45 m opp fra sjøen): opptil 0,8 m mektig rel. ren mt-malm med mt-ep+py rike randsoner. Biotitt- og hornblendegneis i ligg og heng. Noe foliert dioritt over hornblendegneissen. Monsøya vest: 2 mindre parallelle dagstrosser parallelt malmsonene som følges i 15-20 m's lengde. Flere soner (noen dm-skala) med magnetitt i veksling med epidot og plagioklas rikere bånd. Amfibol-biotitt rik og granittisk gneis mellom sonene. Skjæres av pegmatittiske og granittiske ganger.
