Forekomsten ligger NV for Vikan i en skråning ned mot Dolmsundet. Det består av en vannfylt synk med åpning på 2x5 m. Skjerpet er drevet i kalkspatmarmor med foliasjon ca. 225°/75°. Under denne i sør er blottet granittisk gneis. Tre hovedtyper med mineralisering er påvist i blokker på tippen. Aggregater av svovelkis i rødfarget, grovkornet marmor, middels- til grovkornet hematitt og sinkblende i bånd og aggregater i rød og gulhvit marmor og spredte aggregater/flekker av blyglans og mindre mengder sinkblende i gulhvit marmor. Det er ikke mulig å bestemme forholdet mellom disse typene i synken.
