De første mutinger i feltet ble foretatt i 1909. Fosdalen Bergverk utførte magnetiske målinger i 1951. På vestsiden av Kvitkrakaliklumpen (573570 7089900) står mutingsbolt og stikningspinner, men ingen røskingsarbeider er utført. På stedet er det en del oppvitret magnetitt-mineralisert stein og det er sterke ut- slag på kompasset. I blotning sees to 10 cm mektige lag massiv magnetitt med 3 m avstand (prøve 01 fra øverste lag, 02 fra nederste) i en veksling av hornblendeskifer og båndet, lys tuffittisk skifer med litt magnetitt-disseminasjon. Ved 574690 7090850 er det et 1 cm mektig magnetittbånd i grønnskifer. Ifølge magnetometerkart fra Fosdalen Bergverk skal det være en røsk i dette området. Øst for gården Amunddal (576020 7091450) er det en 3x2 m vannfylt og helt gjengrodd røsk (4 m3 tipp). Mineralisering er ikke observert.
