Mineraliseringen ble funnet og mutet i 1909. Stolldrift ble satt igang samme år. Bækgruben, 582160 7093130, er det i bekken drevet inn en 15 m lang stoll langs støket mot Ø. Stollen er buet og dreier mot NØ pga. at strøket bøyer rundt amfibolittlinsa. Til tross for buingen er stollen drevet i kalk. Den er påsatt i kontakten marmor/amfibolitt. Det er ganske rik (semimassiv) mineralisering, 10-20 cm mektig, av magnetkis, svovelkis, magnetitt og noe kobberkis langs kontakten (prøve 04). Også noe skarnifisering med grovkornet svovelkis (05) lokalt langs kontakten. Kalkspatmarmoren i liggen er båndet med noen dm-mektige lag av keratofyr som inneholder bånd av magnetkis og svovelkis (03) og pegmatitt-linser med sulfid-disseminasjon. Amfibolitt-linsa er ca 8 m mektig og fører svovelkis og magnetitt i årer og bånd (01 og 02). Det er røsket litt i amfibolitten i en skrent like ved stollen. Tippen er ca 10 m3. Tippmaterialet fra stollen finnes ikke på stedet. |
