The Blåfjell deposit is associated with a 3.5 km long norite pegmatite. In places this pegmatite dyke is mineralized and develop thick almost monomineralic layers or off-shots of ilmenite. The most prominent mineralizations are found at Blåfjell and include: Platform gruve, Under-, Over-, and Toppgruve, Blåfjelldalen, Aursland 1, Ligruve and Raset gruve.

Part of the Blåfjell deposit. The Blåfjell deposit is associated with a 3.5 km long norite pegmatite. In places this pegmatite dyke is mineralized and develop thick almost monomineralic layers or off-shots of ilmenite. The most prominent mineralizations are found at Blåfjell and include: Platform gruve, Under-, Over-, and Toppgruve, Aursland 1, Ligruve and Raset gruve. Blåfjelldal is a very minor exploit 100 m south of and above the main adits (see Carlson, 1945).
