Layered oxide-rich norite. Mining was abandoned here prior to 1945 but has left a 25-30 m deep vertical shaft. Carlson (1945) implies that operation was abandoned due to significant amounts of sulfides in the ore!! His analytical data yield 22 and 26% TiO2. The deposit also contain magnetite.
