Largest known sulfide deposit hosted by anorthosite in the Rogaland Anorthoite Province. Massive dyke-like or lenticuilar body dominated by po with subsidiary amounts of various Cu and Ni sulfides. Exploted (test mining) during the early 1870's. An 8 m deep shaft filled with water on site. Falconbridge/AS Sulfidmalm conducted an exploration program in the area in the early 1970s with geochemical and geophysicalk surveying and two drill holes in the nearby Bjørndalsnipa area. The conclusion was that an east-west elongated sulphide body on the order of 75000 t per 10 m extraction may exist between Homse and Bjørndalsnipa.
