The Feøy deposit is a minor Ni-Cu deposit, which is located in the sheeted-dyke complex of the Karmøy ophiolite complex. The deposit was mined between 1896 and 1922, and 37 000 t of ore was produced with 2.6 % Cu and 2.1 % Ni. The ore was quite rich in PGE, containing 4.4 ppm Pd, 1.6 ppm Pt and 0.2 ppm Rh. The ore was medium-grained, dominated by pyrrhotite, while chalcopyrite, pyrite and pentlandite were subordinate.
