Synnøve 3 ligger ca. 230 m øst for Knaben I. Det er en mindre forekomst som består av en U-formet stoll med åpning i begge ender. Avstanden mellom åpningene er 10 m og mindre tverrslag inne i stollen viser at de har forsøkt å lete etter malm. Molybdenglans finnes hovedsakelig i og langs cm-tynne, pegmatittiske kvartsårer i slirebåndet gneis (‘tiger gneis’). Rødlig, porfyrisk granitt dominerer i den sørlige åpningen. Slirebåndet gneis dominerer på tippen som har et volum på ca. 200 kubikkmeter totalt.
