The pit is situated in Glupedalen valley, west of Dalsvatnet lake and is best approached via the tractor track from Dale at the northern end of the lake. It is located on a forested hill, 30-40m over and slightly SE a few old houses. The pit consists of an essentially EW oriented trench with a 5m3 large tailings heap, but completely overgrown. The trench is 0.5-1m wide and 0.5m deep. At its W end, a very rusted schistose rock type containing biotite occurs, whereas nearby outcrops predominantly consist of gabbro. No ore has been observed, but presumably follows the gabbro foliation at 310/70. The tailings are dominated by very coarse grained hornblende-feldspar " quartz " garnet with dispersed sulphide grains. Blocks of massive coarse grained pyrrhotite with traces of chalcopyrite along the quartz lenses have been sampled.
