Enkleste adkomst til forekomsten er langs en stengt tømmervei som tar av fra bilveien mellom Yli og Reskjem, sørvest for Notodden flyplass. Det ble skjerpet på denne forekomsten i 1908-09 av Christiania Minecompani. To mindre skjerp er anlagt med en avstand på ca. 30-40 m. Det østre skjerpet er en grunn dagskjæring med vegger 5x1 m. Det vestre skjerpet er en vannfylt synk med vegger 3x5 m med en tipp med volum 40m3. I det vestre skjeprpet finnes tilnærmet flattliggende kvarts-feltspat gneis og få kvartsblokker uten sulfidmineralisering. Svak disseminasjon av kobberkis+kobberglans opptrer i middelskornet amfibolitt i det østre skjerpet. Kobberkis kan være anriket i grovkornete aggregater i amfibolitten (prøve TE0021.01), mens molybdenglans finnes i tillegg i blokker av grovkornet kvarts (TE0021.02). Forekomsten har ikke økonomisk potensiale.
