En skogsbilvei fører fram til forekomsten som ligger 150 m øst for Simonesvihus-seter. Den ble påvist i 1906, og i periodene 1906-07 og 1910-11 var det forsøksdrift. En 20 m lang stoll er drevet mot øst. Ca. 5 m og 11 m innenfor inngangen er det mindre tverrslag til begge sider. Ved de innerste tverrslagene er det anlagt en 8 m lang loddsjakt til dagen. Et mindre skjerp ligger 5 m øst for sjaktåpningen. To mindre skjerp som ligger 6-700 m lengre nord på Øvrestul ble også befart. Kobbermineralisering er observert i og langs en 20-30 cm bred granittisk pegmatitt rett sør for sjaktåpningen i dagen. Kobberglans og bornitt opptrer i strenger og aggregater. Kobbermineraliseringer skal også finnes i kvartsganger. Pegmatitten er middels- til grovkornet (3-5 mm).og dominert av K-feltspat med mindre mengder kvarts og muskovitt. Pegmatitten ligger subkonkordant foliasjonen i vertsbergarten som er en homogen, finkornet og grålig rød kvarts-feltspat bergart. Den kan representere en felsisk metavulkanitt. Langs kontakten til pegmatitten er den anriket på epidot og dels kloritt. De rikeste kobbermineraliseringene opptrer i denne kontaktsonen. 514163 6597337 Skjerpet er en 8 m lang og opptil 2 m høy skjæring langs en kvartsgang i amfibolitt. Grovkornete aggregater av kobberkis finnes i den grovkornete kvartsen.

Abstract:
Rapporten er et standard registreringsskjema brukt i "Telemarkprosjektet", og beskriver kort forekomstens topografiske og geologiske plassering, forekomsttype, sidebergart, samt malm- og gangmineraler. Forekomsten er hovedsaklig bornittmineralisering i gjennomsettende kvarts- og pegmatittganger av varierende tykkelse (< 500 m). Rapporten inneholder skisse av gruven, samt noen analyseresultater. Den rikeste prøven gir 14,59% Cu, 634 g/t Ag, 6 g/t Au.

Et gjenvokst lite skjerp ligger ca. 600 m nord for hovedforekomsten. Det er 5 m langt i retning NV-SØ, 1,5-2 m dypt og 0,5-1 m bredt. Det er anlagt langs en 1 m bred kvartsgang i amfibolitt. Sulfidmineraliseringen består av svak disseminasjon kobberkis i den grovkornete kvartsen.
