Forekomsten ligger tett ved gårdsvei på østsida av hovedveien mellom Notodden og Bolkesjø, ca. 3 km nord for Notodden sentrum. Den skal være påvist før 1907. den består av en 7 m lang og 1-2 m bred dagskjæring som er mer enn 2 m høy. Svak disseminasjon av pyritt+kobberkis finnes i rustfarget, granittisk gneis som trolig representerer en felsisk metavulkanitt. Den fører få cm tynne kvartslinser/-årer som maksimalt er få dm lange.
