Forekomsten befinner seg på vestsiden av Kjennerudvannet, ca. 100 m nord for Rødtjern. Det går en sti rett forbi skjerpet. Det er en liten grop 4 m lang, 2.5 m bred og 1-1.5 m dyp. Det er drevet på en kvartsbreksje som har retning NØ-SV og kan følges ned mot Kjennerudvannet. Bredden på breksjesonen er ca. 3 m i skjerpet. Sulfider opptrer som fattig impregnasjon i uregelmessige årer og slirer. De består av mest kobberkis med mindre mengder sinkblende, blyglans og pyritt. Det er lokalt noe karbon.
