The Sel and Vågå map areas. Geology and petrology of a part of the Caledonides of Central Southern Norway. |
;Norges geologiske undersøkelse;TIDSSKRIFTARTIKKEL;NGU; No.178;1-117 pages |
Abstract: | |
The rocks of the present area can be divided into the following distinctly separated groups: 1. Basement gneisses, 2. A mio-geosynclinal sequence of sparagmites and Cambro-Ordovician phyllites and quartzites, 3. A eugeosynclinal sequence resting upon its Pre-Caledonian basement, the Rudihø Crystalline Complex, and consisting of the following divisions: The Heidal Series of micaschists with flagstones and conglomerates at the base. The conglomerates contain boulders from the underlying Rudihø Complex. A series of volcanic greenstones with the Greenstone Conglomerate and the Serpentine Conglomerate at the top. The Serpentine Conglomerate has yielded Lower Ordovician fossils. The Sel micaschists. The Skardshø Conglomerate is probably at the top sequence. The Rudihø Complex and the overlying eu-geosynclinal sequence form a nappe, the Otta Nappe, overthrust above the rocks of the mio-geosynclinal sequence. As different from the underlying ones the rocks of the Otta Nappe contain gabbroid and trondhjemitic Caledonian intrusions and are generally more strongly metamorphosed. 4. The Gabbro Conglomerate, a member of the Valdres Sparagmite, is post-orogenic molasse deposit and rests with erosional unconformity above rocks of the Rudihø Complex. 5. The large Sogn - Jotun Crystalline Massif has been thrust above the Gabbro Conglomerate and is the highest part of the structural edifice. |

Geofysiske, geokjemiske og geologiske oppfølgingsundersøkelser innenfor kommunene Nord-Fron, Sel, Dovre og Vågå |
;Norges geologiske undersøkelse;FAGRAPPORT;NGU-rapport; No.1709/L;67 pages |
Abstract: | |

Skjerp B ligger kun 10 m lengre sørøst for skjerp A. Det er ei 1x2 m grunn, utsprengt grop langs den 20-40 cm bred malmsona.

To 10-15 cm brede malmsoner ligger 2,5 m fra hverandre. |
