Forekomsten ligger rett sør for Grønningselva og stryker parallelt med denne ca. 300 m. Kalken er hvit og ren og har et CaO innhold på rundt 55 %. Forekomsten har en bredde på opptil 50 m og en strøklengde på 300 m. Kvaliteten blir ansett for å være interessant, men reservene er muligens begrenset.
